Nina Schulz, 41, lives and works as a journalist in Hamburg. She covers a wide range of issues and writes for Zeit Online, der Freitag, die tageszeitung, Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung, Jüdische Allgemeine and analyse&kritik. She is also active in the German Association of Investigative Journalists, netzwerk recherche and works as a facilitator.
Elisabeth Mena Urbitsch (photographer) and her received the German Alternative Media Award in 2015 for their reportage “Hasenbrote” in their series Unfinished Business, in which they pay justice to the continuous struggles of survivors, fighting for recognition and compensation after suffering Nazi persecution during World War Two. In 2010, they received the German Alternative Media Award for their reportage Play for time, about holocaust survivors and their fight for their ghetto-pensions. Both reportages were published in analyse&kritik.
